Looking for something different? Chiaroscuro is presenting the movie Shoplifters at the UICA Sunday February 9,2020 at 2pm. The movie is free as is the reception afterwards with complimentary food and beverages reflecting the regional cuisine of the film's origin. The movie is about a dysfunctional band of outsiders on the margins of Tokyo. They are united by a fierce loyalty but when the young son is arrested secrets are exposed that upend their tenuous below the radar existence.
There is a panel discussion after the film before the reception.
