Escape Work Early Hike - Hardy Dam Rustic Nature Trail

This is a 3 mile hike created by the Boy Scouts on moderate terrain which will total 4 miles including the bridge crossing. We are parking on the south side at Operators Village Park because it is free and has bathrooms. We are leaving exactly at 5 PM so if you are late run to catch up or drive over the dam, take the first left and park at the trailhead sign for Hardy Dam Rustic Nature Trail. Those who want may chose to do the Dragon Trail, but that trail has mountain bikers speeding along it. If you bring a headlamp or arrive early, there is also a slightly overgrown trail in Operators Village Park by the lake near the picnic table and grill on the northeast side. Socialize afterwards at the Driftwood Bar, 7456 S Croton Hardy Dr., Newago, an 8 minute drive.
