Crystal Mountain Park and Ride Friday December 17, 2021
To GGRSC members and friends: Join the 9 skiers already registered or signed up for a day of skiing at Crystal Mountain on Friday December 17 , 2021. Members and guests are welcome.
We are meeting at Post Road ( Drive) NE Carpool lot and 131 expressway at 8:00 AM for our journey north. Your other option is to just meet the group at the ski resort instead of carpooling. When you register please indicate this on yourreservation. See question on the bottom of the registration form.

We are planning a special price deal for GGRSC and Crystal needs to know the approximate number of skiers in our group.

Here is the deal we negotiated:
Those of ages 18-59. : Your price is $ 30.00 for your day of skiing ( Online prices are $ 60.99)
Those of ages 7-17 and 60- 79 is $ 20.00 for your day of skiing. ( Online Prices are $ 53.99)
80 +. You are free !
Don’t look now but in one day you got your GGRSC membership fees back ! ( $ 30 + savings for you today ! )
They are charging our group the Monday- Thursday group rate instead of Friday due to early season trip. ( savings of $ 10.00)
All you have to do when you get to the mountain is go to the outside ticket windows and tell them you are with the GGRSC and they will give you your ticket after you pay the above amount. Hunter the group sales person is making the ticket staff aware that we are coming. Crystal is wonderful to work with and has offered us one whale of a discount !
I will be calling up the number of tickets that we will need before I leave. SO PLEASE MAKE YOUR RESERVATION as soon as possible. Your ticket will be on a RFD card that you can reload every time you come to Crystal Mountain. You keep it in your pocket.
Trip Itinerary:
Meet at the carpool lot-- 8:00 AM Arrange rides.
Carpool from Post Road or Drive to the Ski Area and meet us up there.
Ski with friends ( ticket on your own). See discounts above.
Meet for lunch 12:30 inside over by the fireplace in the cafeteria. You can get food from the cafeteria or food trucks if available.
Lifts open from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Most of us will ski till around 4:30.
More skiing fun in the afternoon. -- Ski with old and new friends. Watch for purple pole flags on some members.
Apres skiing 4:30 in the bar at Kinlochen Building by the Buck Lift or we can go directly to Genos where the prices are more reasonable. — We can decide this at lunch.
Dinner for those who do not have to get home right away — Genos Sports Bar and Grill in Thompsonville — very reasonable food and drinks. It is very close to the ski area.
Drive home and share gas prices with your carpool friends.
COVID REGULATIONS and Operating Policies:
It is much looser than last year — Masks are not needed outside or on the lifts. — normal chair loading this year.
It is not mandated to wear a mask inside but they are using the CDC information and suggestions. Come prepared just in case.
Since Shirley can’t be everywhere —Please help take some pictures for trip records and newsletter articles. Send them to Shirley’s email when you get home.
