    Europe 2024

    The Europe trip for 2024 brings us to Saalbach Hinterglemm.  With 270 kilometers of ski slopes, it is one of the largest ski areas in Austria. Beginners, families and experts can use 140 km blue, 112 km red and 18 km black slopes. With 70 cableways and lifts, more than 60 cozy ski huts, numerous snow parks, a freeride park, floodlight slopes and toboggan runs, Salzburg's skiing region is one of the most diverse and best ski areas in the Alps.

    Marquette Mid-Week Trip

    February 26 - 29, 2024


    Come ski the Upper Peninsula of Michigan! Marquette Mountain is a great downhill ski area. There is also cross-country and snowshoeing nearby at NTN trails.


    Add on the Searchmont weekend (Feb 29 - March 3) and make it a week of skiing.

    Petoskey Midweek Ski Trip

    March 06 – 08 2024

     

    Ski three areas: Nubs Nob, Boyne Highlands, and Boyne Mountain

     Lodging available at Quality Inn, 1314 N US Highway 31, Petoskey, MI 49770 

    • $129 per night plus taxes and fees
    • 2 Queen beds, refrigerator & Microwave oven
    • Cots available @ $10 per night
    • Includes Breakfast
    • All other meals and lift tickets not included in price

    This is a “do it yourself” trip, meaning you will setup your own lodging.

    How to register:

    1.      Call Quality Inn (231) 347-3220 to reserve your room in GR Ski Club room block, Only one credit card for reservation; hotel will split the bill for roommates at check-out

    2.      Register for the event at GGRSC.com and include roommate(s) if known.

    3.      Email trip leader to confirm that you have registered for trip and provide roommate information & plans for skiing

    Registration deadline:  February 28th or until trip is full.

    Hotel Cancellation policy: 24 hours prior to check In to avoid penalties

    3. Meet for lunch at 12:30 in the lodge cafeteria or a designated area.
    4. More skiing fun in the afternoon. Ski with old and new friends.
    5. Après’ skiing at 4:30 in the Ski Area Lounge or Bar.
    6. Possible stop for dinner on the way home for those who don’t have to get right home.
    7. Drive home and share gas prices with your carpool friends.
      ALL COSTS FOR THE DAY ARE ON YOUR OWN

          This is a 'Book your own lodging" trip. Follow these steps:

          1. Call the Apple Tree Inn at 231-348-2900 to make reservation ($109 + tax/room Friday night & $119+ tax per room Saturday night; 2 queen beds) GGRSC room block - only one credit card for reservation. Hotel can split the bill for roommates at check-out

          2. Register on GGRSC website

          3. Email your trip leader including roommate preference

          4. Hotel policy for cancellations: 48 hours prior to check-in to avoid penalties

          Join us for a weekend of fun camping and paddling July 19-21, 2024. Just 45 minutes north of Grand Rapids!  FULL DETAILS ON FLYER BELOW

          Camp reservations:  Reserve online through Sandy Beach newaygocountymi.gov (pick Sandy Beach option - they are changing online service this year and it may not be live yet) or call 231-689-7340 off season or 231-689-1229 starting May 1.  The Oakes Cabin is where coffee/bonfires and Saturday night potluck will be.

          Please register here for food and equipment rental (if needed).  Also gives me a head count.  

          If you prefer to just go canoeing/kayaking on Saturday, that is fine also. Optional dinner out Friday night 7:00 pm at Northern Trails Bar & Grill (to be confirmed).

          Registration $5/members or $7/non-members covers paper products, meat for Saturday night potluck, and morning coffee (breakfast food on your own).  Kayaks are $30 and canoes $40.  If canoeing with two people, one will register for food and canoe and the second person for food only.
